What is Lorazepam?
Lorazepam is a benzodiazepine medication used to treat anxiety, sleep disturbances linked to anxiety, and pre-surgical stress (commonly known as a “pre-med”). It may also be used in hospitals to treat seizures.

How it Works:
Lorazepam enhances the activity of GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid), a calming neurotransmitter in the brain. This helps reduce anxiety, promote relaxation, and support restful sleep.

Strength: 1mg Lorazepam per tablet

Form: Capsule-shaped, yellow tablets (approx. 4 x 8 mm)

Other ingredients: Lactose (anhydrous & 72 mesh), microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, polacrilin potassium, color E102

Shelf life: 24 months

Packaging: Available in blister packs, securitainers, or amber glass bottles

Usage & Dosage:

Take orally with water, with or without food

Onset: ~20–30 minutes

Duration: ~6–8 hours

Limit use to 2–4 weeks to avoid dependence

Do not drive or operate machinery if drowsy

Avoid alcohol during treatment

Common Side Effects:
Drowsiness, dizziness, fatigue, and reduced alertness.
